DONNYBROOK'S iconic Apple FunPark extensions were officially opened on Saturday.
Warren-Blackwood MLA Terry Redman officially opened the extensions, which included eight new pieces of play equipment suitable for children of all ages and abilities.
The play equipment is surrounded by rubber soft floor and is covered by shade sales.
The parking and lawn areas where also extended.
Mr Redman said the fun park has long been a must-stop destination for travelling and local families and the extension brings additional recreational options.
"The extension enhances what is an outstanding community facility and responds to the needs of a growing population within Donnybrook and the South West," he said.
"Thanks to the original community project and these new additions, Donnybrook has an exceptional, accessible, affordable and safe recreational facility for local residents, including those with disabilities."
The improvements were made possible by funding from Royalties for Regions through the Country Local Government Fund and the Donnybrook-Balingup Shire.
