Harvey Dickson’s Country Music and Rodeo heads back to Boyup Brook

It’s time to dust off those cowboy boots – the rodeo is heading back to town.

Double Barrel Entertainment  (DBE) will take over the reins and host the annual rodeo spectacular at the Harvey Dickson’s Country Music and Rodeo venue at Boyup Brook In October.

In collaboration with The Beerfarm, Red Tents Events and Velvet Mornings, DBE plan on bringing a weekend full of excitement, entertainment, hospitality and family fun.

Friday afternoon will open the gates to all pilgrims, cowboys and cowgirls to find a camp spot in the picturesque shady paddocks next to the rodeo grounds.

For those who get in quick there are limited tickets to the Friday night Shindig in Harvey’s Music Shed, also known as one of the best man caves in Australia.

The original wagon local pioneers the Muir family rode into the area in 1884 hangs from the rafters along with one of the best collection of farm and family life paraphernalia that the property has lovingly kept over the generations.

Saturday is the main event so grab the whole family and head into the rodeo grounds. With sculptures, old trucks, and even a plane, it’s every boy’s dream farm.

Great coffee and food are served up all day and enjoy a full point rodeo with the bravest of folk matching themselves against the clock and the animal for a chance to win points and prize money.

Metricup Beer Farm legends will be stocking their prized beers along with an array of wines ciders and spirits.

The afternoon winds up and the main stage gets going with some of Australia’s most exciting live acts.

The Harvey Dickson's Rodeo will be on from October 27-29.
