Freestyle Motocross rider Josh Sheehan cannot wait to put on a show for South West fans.
The rider is returning to the region as part of 2018’s Nitro Circus Live tour, heading to Bunbury’s Hands Oval on April 25.
“Bunbury hasn’t seen a show since the Crusty Demons years ago and the shows have progressed so much since then,” he said.
”It’s just so much more personal when your friends and family are just down the road.
“The Nitro crew can come and see the area where I live and it gets you excited when you’re near your own friends and family.”
The rider first attracted the attention of Nitro Circus organisers in 2008.
“It was childhood dream and I didn’t even think it was possible,” he said.
“I finally got to ride with some of guys I looked up to when I was a little kid, and now I am able to work with them.”
The 31-year-old has also taken on national and international events over the past decade.
In 2015, the FMX champion became the first rider to successfully land a triple-backflip on a motorcycle.
Sheehan looked back fondly on travelling the world and riding in some of the world’s biggest freestyle motocross challenges.
“There’s some really bad times with injury and travel not going so well, but I just have to remember the countless good times and it has been one hell of an experience,” he said.
