The Bridgetown Walking Club commenced in the year 2000 and provides a social, fun and easy way for people to walk and be active.
The group meet every week and there are as many as 30 people come along to enjoy the walking adventures and check out the views before settling down for a cuppa and a chat.
With a different destination every week, there are walks held all over the district including Greenbushes, Nannup, Boyup Brook and Pemberton, as well as on various walk trails and farmlands around Bridgetown, with the group often enjoying a lunch together at various eateries within the region.
Group coordinator, Di Huband, says the walking group is a wonderful opportunity for people of any age to come along and check out places that they may otherwise not go to.
“We have had people who have lived in this area for all of their lives, yet they are still discovering new places that they were not aware of,” she said.
