Hundreds of locals and visitors braved cold weather on Saturday June 9 to celebrate the towns 150th anniversary.
Celebrations commenced with the launch of local photographer Victoria Bakers book, aptly named 150, before the official ceremony was held in the town civic centre.
Shire President Cr. Tony Pratico said Bridgetown has a diverse culture of people and that everyone was always made welcome when they came to the town.
A spectacular photography display on the civic centre wall along with hundreds of school children holding their handmade lanterns was enjoyed by those courageous enough to venture out on the memorable wintery night.
