St John Ambulance launched its ambitious campaign to train the entire Donnybrook-Balingup community in CPR with an event this week.
On Monday, September 3, local businesses, community groups, St John representatives and many more gathered at the Donnybrook Visitor Centre for the opening of the ‘Stay Alive in the Shire’ campaign.
The launch included CPR presentations, an information session on the locations of defibrillators around the shire and the presentation of a defibrillator to machine to the Donnybrook Bendigo Bank branch.
As part of the campaign, St John will host a number of CPR training sessions in Donnybrook and Balingup, with the aim of teaching all 4200 residents within the shire the life saving skill.
The 20-minute training sessions will be held at Donnybrook Town Hall on September 8, October 6 and November 10, with another session at Balingup Recreation Hall on October 27.
