Balingup Primary School students have been able to enjoy their play time a little more thanks to a new storage shed and shade structure.
The school was able to upgrade the shade and shed, which were in poor condition, through a $7000 state government Local Projects, Local Jobs grants.
The new storage shed has allowed the school to safeguard play equipment while shade shelter has made the outdoor area more usable year round.
Collie-Preston MLA Mick Murray said it was great to see the upgrades.
“With Balingup Primary School’s numbers expanding it has been great to be able to assist them with the extra bit of funding they needed to upgrade the facilities for the students,” he said..
“It was fantastic to see the students running around and playing in the newly improved area.
“Small grants like these are able to be stretched that much further when you have a dedicated team like they do at Balingup Primary School.”
