Intended as a one-off celebration for Bridgetown’s 150th anniversary last year, Blackwood Rhapsody proved so popular that it will return for a second concert next month.
The concert will feature an eclectic line-up of musicians, including indie rock band Caravana Sun, classical violinist Ashley Arbuckle, singer-songwriter Tracey Barnett, Bridgetown duo Marisa and Mark, clarinetist Geoff Bourgault du Coudray, gospel choir The Jubilee Singers and Manjimup jazz band Table 4 Two Trio.
Well-known comedian and author Jon Doust, originally from Bridgetown, will host the event which will again be held in the grounds of Bridgedale House on the banks of the Blackwood River.
Visitors have been invited to bring along a picnic and drinks to enjoy the concert with family and friends on Saturday, February 9.
Gates will open at 5pm for a 5.30pm start, with proceeds being directed towards research into motor neurone disease.
Tickets are available at Trybooking.com and Bridgetown’s Minimart.
