Award-winning singer-songwriter Beccy Cole has been announced as the headline act for the 2019 Boyup Brook Country Music Festival.

The two-time Country Music Awards Female Artist of the Year will take to the stage for a 90-minute set on Saturday, February 16 as part of the weekend-long festival.

The 34th edition of the festival takes place between February 15 and 17 and will once again feature live performances from a raft of top acts, with Travellin’ Still: The Songs of Slim Dusty with Pete Denahy and the Travelling Country Band among those leading the charge.

Also taking to the stage in the Music Park on the banks of the Blackwood River will be Connie Kis Andersen, Darren Coggan, Amber Joy Poulton, Band of Mates, and Bennett, Bowtell and Urquhart, Patrick McMahon and The Buckleys.

Rounding out the stellar program will be Desert Road, Jane Germain and Ian Simpson, Julie Kember, Delilah Rose and the Gunslingers, Kate Hindle, Kate Linke, Mary Myfanwy, Chad Woods, Pete Denahy, Red Ochre, and Rohan Powell.

Blue Hornet, Cowboy Roger Lawson and Kate Linke will entertain at the Ute and Truck Muster, which will see a convoy of utes, trucks, tractors and vintage cars roll into town and compete for $10,000 in prizes.

Festival music director Sharon Winter said attendees would again be spoilt for choice, with a mixture of music, art and culture ensuring there is something to interest everyone.

“We are thrilled to once again offer a top line-up, as part of the biggest event on the Western Australian country music calendar,” she said.

“The festival is a favourite of both artists on the country music circuit and music fans − and we look forward to welcoming everyone to Boyup Brook for what will be another great long weekend of entertainment and a celebration of everything country.”

The festival will also feature a number of activities taking place over the days proceeding the festival, including the Boyup Brook art awards and the opening of a new exhibition as well as bush poetry performance workshops.
