The brother of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has gone on trial for alleged financial misconduct, the judiciary says.
Hossein Fereydoun appeared in court in Tehran for his first hearing on Tuesday, the judiciary said in a statement, without giving further details.
Fereydoun and six others are accused of various financial crimes at a bank.
The next hearing is to take place next week, the ISNA news agency reported, citing local authorities.
Fereydoun was arrested in 2017 and later released on bail.
He has previously been at his brother's side as an adviser, including in the last round of nuclear negotiations with world powers in 2015.
Reformers have long accused Iran's powerful Islamist hard-liners of trying to damage Rouhani through his brother.
The president has not commented on the case.
