The ninth annual Down Under Country Music weekend was held at the Bridgetown Showgrounds between March 15 and 17, with plenty of bush poetry, line dancing and good old time traditional country music enjoyed by the record crowd.
Perfect autumn weather ensured the convoy of music fans once again enjoyed the opportunity to listen to high quality local and interstate artists, with non-stop music and entertainment over the three-day event.
Hosted by Therese and David Higginson, from Campfire Country, some of the musical highlights this year included Graeme Hugo, Bill Rowley, Bernie Rogers, Sarah Broome, Kate Hindle and local Bridgetown artist Rozzi.
Mr Higginson said it was a friendly event that just kept getting bigger each year.
"We have had record crowds this year and have had to extend the centenary hall so everyone could fit in and dance to the music," he said.
"We are so lucky to be involved in organising this event, we are all just one big family with our music mates, and it is wonderful to have beautiful traditional country music, which is why it is so popular."
