Third generation Butler champion Aimee has taken her motocross aspirations one step further after being selected to represent Australia on an international stage next year.
Aimee is one of six junior female riders selected Australia-wide to represent the Go Girl Racing Australia Motocross team.
Following a breakout year in 2018 where she took home numerous titles, Aimee has continued that momentum and was recently nominated for the 2019 Motorcycling SA Rising Star Award.
But according to Aimee, the chance to represent the Go Girl Racing team is the biggest honour of all.
"It's a huge honour, this is the first time they have done a development team," she said.
They aren't just taking top riders or looking at how quick you ride. They are looking at the package overall of what someone can bring to female sport.
Go Girl Racing Australia supports the growth and development of top female riders in motocross and provides opportunities for up and coming female athletes to compete around Australia and internationally - an opportunity that previously didn't exist.
Aimee is training with the team as part of their progressive coaching initiative alongside renowned coach, Greg Moss.
Her training regime will be pushed even further in the lead-up to her first international tour with the team in New Zealand.
Come January, Aimee will compete at both the the King of the Mountain in the Taranaki and the Woodville GP Oceania Challenge.
Each Australian rider is paired with a New Zealand competitor and the points are calculated as to who will take home the Oceania Junior Cup.
"I don't have any goals on placings, I just want the experience. As long as I know I've improved from now to when I come back that's really all I'm hoping for," Aimee said.
"From what I've seen, everyone in New Zealand is really aggressive and that's definitely a weakness in my riding so that's what I'm keen to work on."
2020 will be a busy year for the soon to be 16-year-old as she and the Go Girl Racing Team prepare for a myriad of events, including the Thor Mini Olympics in America.
