Busselton Police are warning the public to be on the lookout for counterfeit $50 notes which have been circulated in the community.
On June 11, 2021 a male person attempted to use a counterfeit $50 note at the Kent Street Bakery, the staff refused to take the money. He then tried to use a debit card which was declined twice.

"Be careful and check when people hand over any $50 notes," she said.
"You should contact police or ring Crimestoppers if you have any information about anyone that is distributing counterfeit $50 notes.
"If you suspect the money is counterfeit, do not accept it and call police."
