TWENTY-two teams competed at the annual “Blackwood 24” Darts Tournament held in the Bridgetown-Greenbushes Shire hall over the weekend of February 8-9.
Organiser Andrew White said he was very pleased with the turnout this year.
“It took me three years to get this tournament up and running properly,” he said. “Now it’s the main annual event to raise funds for the Darts Association.
“The tournament has a great atmosphere with the mixture of people from Albany, Perth, Armadale, Fremantle, Collie, Bunbury, Busselton, Pemberton, Manjimup and Bridgetown, Greenbushes and many other places, which gives the event a good friendly rivalry.
“The tournament also brings good money into the town, which helps the Bridgetown economy,” Mr White said.
