As 2018 gets well underway the South West Development Commission is calling for members of the community to help steer the organisation by becoming part of the board.
Community members will have the opportunity to provide insight and contribute to the future of the region by being part of the South West Development Commission’s board of management.
South West Development Commission acting chief executive officer Rebecca Ball said it was an exciting time to be involved in regional development.
“The South West is in the process of being transformed through major projects such as the Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront initiative and Busselton-Margaret River Airport development,” she said.
“This is a great time to join the South West Development Commission board and help shape the future of the South West.”
The State Government agency, which is responsible for the economic and social development of the region, is calling for applications from people who would like to help guide the direction of the South West through a role on the organisation’s board.
The seven-member body is responsible for setting policy and making decisions about a broad range of projects and initiatives.
The South West Development Commission is part of the WA Government and aims to make the South West an even better place to live, work and invest.
Enhancing the economy and improving quality of life are key areas of focus.
